What time are the field trips?
Field trips timing varies depending on location, availability, and the amount of kids. Most outings are scheduled for 2 hours. With the earliest starting at 10:00am, and the latest ending at 3:00pm.
Parents and guardians will be notified prior to camp about final schedule and updates regarding field trips for that week.
What if a kid doesn’t want to participate in the field trip?
When children choose not to go on a field trip, they stay at Kid Central with our staff while the rest of the group attends the trip. They still have a fun day with activities planned for them.
How many staff go on field trips?
For field trips, we typically maintain a 1 staff to 5 children ratio. We also separate the kids into small groups, so each staff member is closely supervising their assigned group the entire time.
What do kids do in the camp?
We swim every day. Camp Adventure ages 5-7, swim from 10:00am-11:00am. Camp Explorer ages 8-12, swim from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
Each group spends the day doing active activities on the basketball court such such as tag, soccer, and other kids’ classes etc. We also incorporate some indoor activities in the classroom such as crafts, board games, coloring, etc.
Activities vary from day to day and change each week to keep kids engaged.
Does my child have to participate in swimming activities?
Although we encourage all campers to swim. In the event they do not want to swim or do not know how to swim, they will be allowed in the classroom with a camp counselor separated from the swimming group.
