Group Swim Lessons

Our group swim lessons are a simple recurring program of one thirty minute lesson each week, so your child keeps developing skills without registering again every few weeks.

How It Works

Placement by level.
Your child joins a class at their assigned skill level. New swimmers begin at Level 1. Those placing above Level 1 first complete a brief evaluation in the water. Levels reflect skill rather than age, so the ages below are typical guides only.

Progression.
As your child advances, they move to the next level for the following cycle, typically with only a minor change in time on the same days, so that your routine remains predictable.

Small classes.
Classes are capped at four swimmers, ensuring that every child receives meaningful attention and time in the water.

The Levels

Level 1 — Water Acclimation (ages 3 to 5 / new)
Becomes comfortable in the water, including face submersion, bobbing, and supported floats and kicks.

Level 2 — Water Movement (ages 5 to 7)
Floats and glides independently and kicks across the pool unaided.

Level 3 — Stroke Development (ages 6 to 9)
Swims freestyle and backstroke approximately 15 yards, treads water, and develops confidence in the deep end.

Level 4 — Stroke Improvement (ages 7 to 11)
Swims freestyle and backstroke 25 yards, performs a surface dive, and treads water for one minute.

Level 5 — Stroke Refinement (ages 8 to 12)
Refines all four strokes with turns, in preparation for Swim Team.

Following Level 5, swimmers are eligible to be evaluated for the BAC Krakens Swim Team.

Program Policies

Pausing enrollment.
Enrollment may be paused in increments of two weeks, each billed at 50% of the rate. Please submit pause requests to the Aquatics Director in writing.

Missed classes.
Club closures qualify for a makeup class. Classes are kept deliberately small and consistent, with a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio; personal absences do not qualify for a makeup class.

Assessments.
Assessments take place during the final week of each month. Swimmers who advance move to their new level the following cycle, on the same days where possible, and you are always notified in writing.

Cancellation.
To cancel, submit a Cancellation Request form to the Aquatics Director with thirty days written notice. There is no ongoing contract obligation.
